Immortality 8ms

1.The Lab

A scienitist in Vier's lab is developing an Immortality 8ms, na 8ms that is supposed to keep the human body young forever, but it is rendered useless because of it's horrible side effects such as:

-Skin inflammation and pimples

-Fevers

-Impaired Consciousness

However it does fulfill it's task of keeping the body from dying, as shown by the inventor of this 8ms hanging himself but being unable to die because of it.

2.The Prophecy

In another scene MIYAO gives miyao a prophecy of the future, in which he says that a medical 8ms will be released on humanity and cause a biohazard event.

Its reasonable to say that this 8ms is the same 8ms as the one being developed in Vier's lab, both are said to be incomplete and have many side effects including impaired consciousness, which MIYAO calls lowered intelligence and reason. However he does not say the 8ms makes you immortal. Only that it does not kill.

It's effect is to take away peoples reasoning to make them all kill each other.

3.The mark 

After the world 8ms malfunctions, Miyao and Jayden complain about strange pimples and rashes that they have been getting on their foreheads.

As you probably remember pimples and skin inflammation are one of the side effects of being infected with the Immortality 8ms, meaning that it leaked from the lab and the spread has already begun.

4.The Future

In data fragment #1: Virtual Experience Presentation, the knights of War cat and Grave Mole gather in a virtual room to share vr experiences that they have prepared with each other.

Chloe's Presentation sticks out from the others because of how hyperrealistic it is, it depicts a post apocalyptic world swarming with zombies rotting on the ground, the living dead, in which only Chloe is left alive.

Even though they have been 'rotting' for hundreds of years they hadn't decomposed and no vermin will touch them.

Everyone in the room points out how realistic Chloe's presentation is even though she says it was made in a rush.

Jayden: It's almost as real as the real world

The reason why Chloe's presentation was so realistic even though it was made in a rush is because it actually is reality, she just copied the enviromental data of her surroundings.

This is post phase 1, the world had already ended and chloe is the last person on earth.

now consider what are the side effects of the immortality 8m : Skin inflammation,  Imapired consciousness,

It makes people lose all intelligence and reasoning ability making them no different than zombies, 

and none of them are dead, they are being kept from decomposing by the 8ms. Alive but dead at the same time their bodies are kept from passing on, just like how the planet is dead but it's being preserved by the 8ms.

The corpses are 'rotting' yet decomposers like worms or flies do not touch it, the process in stretched out for 'hundreds or thousands of years'. A controlled process of rotting is fermentation.

In that way it's more fitting to call Immortality 8ms, Fermentation 8ms, it preserves the corpses not allowing the spirit to pass on.

5.The Factory

The last data fragment reveals that the events of the story follow the event of the book of revelations.

[6] And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

Humans will seek death but the 8ms won't allow it, just like the man in Vier's lab was still alive even though he hanged himself.

[16] And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

--Rev.13

[2] And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

--Rev.16

Those that received the mark of the beast on their forehead were inflicted with a sore.

 The pimples on the forehead are a sign of being marked by the beast.

[4] And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Those that didn't receive the mark of the beast will take part in the first ressurection and 'reign with Jesus for a thousand years'

But those that did, will not be ressurected but left as they are for a thousand years, until judgement day arrives. (construction of the factory)

How do you keep all the humans from decomposing and turning to dust for a thousand years so they can be judged?

The last piece of the puzzle is that the people in the factory world vision are all still alive, even though they had been skinned, quartered and had their nervous system ripped out of them, which normally would be impossible.
