Why is this important? Because all the scenes of Gauntlet knights fighting have the CMY filter overlayed on them.

All of the fight scenes are stylized exactly like a comic book, with the comic panels and the dynamic text and the CMY filter shows us that this is printed media. Not only that but the entire concept of gauntlet knights is something straight out of a superhero comic book. Young people with superpowers being at the top of military might and fighting against a secret organization trying to destroy world peace.

Rukhshana even comments about how this situation is just like a comic book plot.

And also MIYAO says this:

"That *IS* a comic book"

Throughout the whole story blue miyao only tells the truth, he simply tells Miyao about the future without deceiving him and all his predictions come true. Placing emphasis on *is*, he is telling us truthfully that this really *is* a comic book.



If you still don't believe simply remember about the propaganda video from the prologue for the recruitment of gauntlet knights.

The AOU uses a superhero aesthetic for their propaganda videos... The comic book panels and drawings, exaggerated text etc. They are selling a fantasy to kids of being superheroes who are able to fly freely through the sky.

The gauntlet knights being soldiers is just a front, their true purpose is something completely else. One throw away line in the first scene reveals something horrifying.

The Gauntlet's energy source was Spiritium throughout the atmosphere, but it couldn't be used directly.It only became usable energy through a Dreissig Conversion that made use of a brain filter.

However, to use a Gauntlet, you needed "brains" capable of performing a Dreissig Conversion on Spiritium.

Spiritium is not energy itself, it must be converted into energy using a Dreissig conversion

Only gauntlet knights can perform Dreissig conversion
